This unique header solution combines two high performance materials into a one-piece, dimensionally stable, structural header with exceptional insulation performance and high speed installation. R-value ratings takes into consideration entire wall assembly utilizing various methods and materials. Metsa Wood Kerto LVL (laminated veneer lumber), a superior dimensionally stable and high-load capable engineered wood, comprises the outer structure of the header. BASF Neopor EPS Foam contains graphite particles which reflect and absorb radiant heat energy, thereby increasing the materials insulation performance. This means the header can achieve R-value performances far exceeding those possible with standard white EPS. With an R value of 20 Master Header performs 27 percent better than conventional batt insulated wall applications.
