Sold and priced by the lineal, or running foot. Hardwood boards average between 6'-12' in length, evens and odds, with some longer and shorter lengths available. We will do our best to accommodate your requested lengths but may need to adjust the final footage so you can end up with the stock you need. This often involves purchasing additional footage. The sapwood has a pale white to creamy yellow color, while the heartwood ranges from a light brown to sometimes pinky-red color. The grain it often straight, but can also be wavy or curly in some logs. It has a fine and even texture. It is considered to be one of the most featureless domestic woods.
